Summer Sisters is by Lilly Mirren. This continues the story of the three sisters who now own an inn in Australia and who are learning about themselves and their grandmother as they redo the inn.Bindi has received the news that she had cancer. Her doctor recommends Chemo and radiology to help her. This course of treatment should cause it to go into remission. Since she is the one running the inn, she questions whether or not to tell her sisters what is going on. Kate and Rudi are both married and are living in the area. Only Bindi is living in the inn. Kate comes in and does the cooking while Rudi does the marketing and landscaping. They are all together for the firs time in years and they are enjoying themselves. Should Bindi ruin that peace?The book isn’t as engaging as the previous ones. This one just hints of any other problems they face. You almost have to force yourself to continue reading instead of turning back to the end. It is almost as though she is just tying up all the loose ends without regard to the s tory.This is also Charlie Jackson’s story as what happened to Charlie during the war definitely reflected what happened to the family.
